The White Horse at Bilsington is now owned by Lisa & Gordon Russell previously of the Blue Anchor Ruckinge. They bring with them their reputation for serving excellent food from a very varied menu. Their local reputation has been built over many years from when they first took over the Blue Anchor in 1986. They stayed for fourteen years and sold in 2000 to run a restaurant. However they returned to the Blue Anchor in 2008 to continue to build on their success.
The White Horse is a beautiful old pub sitting just on the edge of the Romney Marsh, just up from the royal military Canal. It has a fifty seater restaurant with inglenook fireplaces and beautiful stone floors.
The White Horse specialises in unusual real ales served directly from the cask and has a selection of ciders including local brews. They also carry a good range of wines spirits and bottled beers.
